Dammy Krane apologizes after being released from prison for derogatory comments about Davido

Nigerian singer Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel aka Dammy Krane has apologised to Nigerians after being released from prison for making derogatory comments about Davido.

The musician in a post shared on his official account X expressed his regret for making negative comments about Davido and also used the medium to apologize to his fans and the Nigerian public.

In a post shared on the microblogging platform on August 30, Dammy Krane said, “I know a lot was expected of me, but I failed,” and admitted that his statement had disappointed many people.

While he admits there is not much he can do other than apologize, he expresses his desire to go back to the past.

“I apologize for everything, to my fans (hopefully I still have fans lol). To my fans, if I still have any, I apologize. Next, expect good music from me and only music #lovealwaysleads.” He added.

The singer who rose to fame after releasing his hit song “My Dear” apologized to Nigerians, saying he understood the high expectations placed on him, and acknowledged his shortcomings.

“I want to apologize to Nigerians for the negative energy I have given to the media before today. I know a lot is expected of me, but I made a mistake. I wish I could turn back time, but only God can do that, so I will do what I can, which is apologize,” Dammy Krane wrote.
