Dangote Refinery suspended a fuel discount scheme for the transfer

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemical Plant (DPRP) have suspended a strategic partner pricing scheme after uncovering the broadcast racket of products involving marketers and affiliate partners.

Discount initiatives are designed to support registered marketers by offering processed petroleum products at prices under the market to maintain competitive prices and a national supply nationally.

However, Dangote Refinery revealed that they revealed the scheme allowed by unregistered marketers to use their loading tickets, known as authorities to collect (ATC), to lift products that pass through retail operations and reap profits without causing operational costs.

In a circular signed on Friday by the Executive Director of the Commercial Operation Group, Fatima Dangote, the company said the misuse threatened operations and market stability.

“In our encouragement to ensure the distribution and sales of retail products of fine petroleum products in all of your service stations nationally, DPRP starts a strategic partnership scheme with one -only the aim to ensure consumers nationally have access to affordable and clean petroleum products,” readers.

“Unfortunately, over the past few months, DPRP has received complaints of strategic partners that have never happened before (partners) that sell their ATC at the refinery (tarmac) below the price of the applicable PMS Gantry product.”

The refinery said that he was currently trying to restructure the scheme and had introduced certain concessions to ensure continuously from its products.

Thus, the organization says all existing product release records (PRN) with partner prices will still apply to loading.

“Every partner waiting for PRN for payments made at the price of partners before the effective date will receive the same.

“The recommended pump prices in all retail stations must still be obeyed,” he added.
