Eberechi Eze believes Arsenal winning the EPL title can propel England to victory at the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Arsenal midfielder Eberechi Eze has strongly suggested that his club’s historic English Premier League title win this season can be a great source of motivation for the England national team at the World Cup.

Sports247 reports that Eze further believes that the presence of three other key Arsenal players (Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and Declan Rice) alongside him in the England squad is motivating The Three Lions to go all the way.

The Nigerian-born former Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace added that he is eager to get enough playing time with Thomas Tuchel’s side to propel them to their first FIFA World Cup title since 1966.

He pointed out that winning the current World Cup would end a long barren streak for England, in the same way that the Gunners’ EPL conquest this season ended a 22-year wait, after ‘The Invincibles’ won it in 2004.

While also noting that his move to Arsenal helped him grow personally and realize his full potential, Eze stated that the presence of Arsenal’s champion stars in the England team has brought a conquering mentality to their camp.

Eze replied: “Winning gives you confidence, confidence in yourself that you can go all the way. I’m sure we will all use that. I am grateful to God that I am able to live these moments and continue to grow as a player.”

“It’s serious for all of us. We know it’s going to take everything to get to the end. We all have the right mindset and want to enjoy the whole process, regardless of what stage we’re at.”

“We’re more focused on what needs to be done to achieve what we want to achieve. It gives you a different level of confidence and a lot of players experiencing that will only help us here.”

Sports247 further reports that Eze is already looking forward to finally making his World Cup debut, with the possibility of a starting role in Tuesday’s important clash against Ghana, which could determine England’s passage to the next phase.
