The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 33 suspected internet fraudsters in Rivers State.
EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
He said the suspects were arrested at their hideouts in Iwofe and Ogboro areas of Port Harcourt after receiving credible intelligence regarding their alleged involvement in internet fraud.

The spokesperson said: “Items recovered from the suspects included various cellphone devices, laptops, counterfeit United States Dollar boxes and counterfeit Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) stamps.
“The others are fake Customs stamps, airport permit stamps, DHL and FedEx stamps, and two cars.
“The suspects will be charged to court once the investigation is complete.”
