EFCC arrests energy commission boss over alleged N500 billion fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested the Director General of the Nigerian Energy Commission, Mustapha Abdullahi, on charges of money laundering, Blow report.

A source at the EFCC confirmed the news to journalists on Wednesday.

He said Abdullahi was arrested in Abuja and is currently in the custody of the commission for questioning over alleged N500 billion fraud.

President Bola Tinubu appointed Abdullahi as Director General of the Nigerian Energy Commission on 24 October 2023.
