#EndBadGovernance protesters took to the streets again in Lagos and Port Harcourt on Saturday to air their demands.
This comes despite calls from authorities and religious leaders to stop the protests,
The protests, which began on August 1, aim to draw attention to the country’s economic woes, including an inflation rate of 34%, the removal of fuel subsidies and the devaluation of the naira.
Youths carrying placards gathered at the Ojota end of Lagos and Amusement Park in Port Harcourt, chanting songs and deploring the government’s insensitivity to the plight of ordinary Nigerians.

Police officers were present at both locations to ensure the procession passed off peacefully. Economic activity continued uninterrupted as the protests grew in momentum.
In Benin City, Edo State, protesters also gathered in a carnival-like atmosphere, defying calls to step down.
The demonstrations have entered their third day, and the protesters insist they will not back down until their demands are met.
