Etsu Nupe mourns former CBN deputy governor Mayaki


The Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, have expressed sadness over the death of Alhaji Sachi Mayaki, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

In a condolence message, Etsu Nupe described Mayaki’s death as a great loss to the Nupe people, Niger State and Nigeria, considering her contribution to the development of the financial sector and her years of dedicated service to the nation.

The traditional ruler described the deceased as a distinguished public servant, an expert technocrat and a patriotic Nigerian who contributed immensely to the growth and stability of the nation’s financial system.

He said Mayaki’s wealth of experience, professionalism, humility and commitment to national development earned him the respect of colleagues, associates and society at large.

The Etsu Nupe said the late former deputy governor of the CBN will be remembered for his service to humanity, his commitment to the development of his community and his contribution to the progress of Nigeria.
