Even though I was removed from office, my vision remains firm, says former minister Ohanenye –

Former Minister of Women’s Affairs, Uju-Kennedy Ohanenye, has reiterated that her vision and dedication remain unwavering despite her removal from office by President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking during an interview on Channels TV, Ohanenye stressed that although his tenure as minister has ended, his commitment to his goals remains intact. “I was fired, but my visions remain; my visions have not been fired,” he stated confidently.

He highlighted his continued dedication to the causes he supported while in office, highlighting his ongoing efforts to support women, girls and men. “I am still handling all the cases I handled before I left office. These are sensitive issues that I cannot simply walk away from,” he explained.

Ohanenye also shared details of his ongoing projects, including producing films focused on instilling moral values, an initiative he had planned before his dismissal. “I am still pursuing these projects because they are vital to the growth of the company,” he added.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming public support he received following his dismissal, Ohanenye expressed his appreciation to Nigerians. “I was deeply moved by the support I received. Nigerians spoke for me and I am sincerely grateful,” she said.

Despite the challenges, Ohanenye remains confident and encouraged others to persist despite setbacks. “When one door closes, don’t hesitate to open another. Even if it’s a door you closed before, try to reopen it,” he advised.

His message reflects resilience and determination, serving as motivation for others to continue striving towards their goals. For Ohanenye, leaving her ministerial position does not mark the end, but the beginning of a new chapter in her advocacy work.
