Fake Vio officers were arrested in Adamawa

Police operations in Adamawa have caught one face of Samuel for disguised as a vehicle inspection officer (Vio) in the state.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Suleiman Nguroje, revealed this in a statement on Wednesday in Yola.

He said the police operation attached to the State Intelligence Department (SID) arrested the suspect on Tuesday after the credible intelligence in the suspect’s activities.

According to him, the suspect on several occasions disguised as Vio officers and cheated four people from the number of ₦ 350,000 on the grounds of securing work for them with the Ministry of State Transportation.

The spokesman said: “The suspect has claimed to have committed a crime, while also revealed that the Vio uniform used in fraud was given to him by an unimensed person.”

“Commissioner of the State Police, Dankbo Morris, urged community members to report people from the character to the security institution

“He also convinced the public that a diligent investigation to reveal the possibility of victims and other collaborators involved in the crime would be committed.”
