Financial support: NBA replies the administrator of Rivers Ibas

The attention of the annual planning committee of the General Conference was attracted by a declaration accredited to the administrator of the State of Rivers according to which the government of the State of Rivers paid the hosting rights for the hosting of the NBA AGC 2025.

We want to clarify that the decision to host the 2025 AGC in Port Harcourt was taken in August 2024 and was not subject to any offer or payment process of any hosting rights. The host city has no right to host and there is no representation from the NBA that the conference must be held in a chosen city.

Traditionally, due to the enormous cost involved in the hospitation of the planning committee of the AGC conference, NBA approaches organizations, government agencies and state governments for support and support required is unconditional and not linked to hosting rights or any rights.

Recent NBA conferences have been supported by several state governments, company organizations, ministries, departments and agencies whose budgets host corporate social responsibilities and share the same vision with the NBA. These financial supports are in the form of gifts, partnerships or sponsorships. The money coming from the state of sparrows was a gift and was not linked to any alleged guest for the AGC NBA.
