The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in her position as the wife of President Bola Tinubu, has reassured that with the continued efforts of the Federal Government and its various security agencies and the collaboration of other nations, the challenge of insecurity will be overcome.

He stated this on his first official state visit to Ekiti State on Saturday, during a meeting with the Council of Traditional Rulers of Ekiti State at the Government House, Ado Ekiti.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working tirelessly to ensure insecurity issues are curbed.

‎He said the problem of insecurity is highly disheartening.

He said: “The United States, for example, is helping, most of the people causing these riots are not Nigerians, not that security problems do not exist in Nigeria, I can’t say much because some information is highly classified.”
‎”So I can assure you that America, for example, is helping, even France and some other developed countries.”
‎”Nigeria, because of its nature as a blessed country, you can see the beauty of Ekiti, Nigeria is too big to be intimidated.”

‎She expressed her belief that the challenges the country currently faces will soon end with an appeal to women to continue praying, adding that she believes God is faithful to failure. ‎

Earlier, the Chairman of Ekiti Traditional Rulers Council, Oba Adu Adejimi Alagbado, the Ogoga of Ikere Ekiti, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his various initiatives to make life easy for Nigerians.

He expressed his deep confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu while recalling how the President transformed Lagos State while he was governor of the state.

The Royal Father called on the President to ensure that insecurity is addressed citing the manner in which people are being kidnapped in the state and other states.

The First Lady of Nigeria then proceeded to award a business recapitalization grant of N100 million to 2,000 women small traders in Ekiti State at N50,000 each.

According to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the subsidy is to assist and encourage women to continue supporting their families and promote economic growth.

‎Senator Oluremi Tinubu, accompanied by the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, the National Women Leader of the APC, Dr. Mary Alile Idele, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, also rallied the support of women in the State for a second term for Governor Oyebanji.

The governor’s wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, and her counterparts in other states alongside other political leaders, also charged the people to support the incumbent governor in the upcoming June elections, as well as President Tinubu for continuity in 2027.

Other projects that the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has executed under the Renewed Hope Initiative RHI include: Annual scholarships of ₦1 million and laptops for 3 years for every student from the 36 states of the federation, including FCT and DEPOWA with one of the students from Ekiti state.

Donation of 10,000 copies of exercise books to public schools in Ekiti State in June 2024.

Also, the First Lady project, RHI in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education, awarded 5,100 scholarships in 2024, of which Ekiti state received 100 and out of 1,500 scholarships in 2025, Ekiti got 40 places for students from level 200 up to doctorate. level.

The Environment Club/Society was launched in Ekiti State in November 2025.

‎Also, under the RHI Flow with Confidence programme, 10,000 packs of sanitary pads for a year’s supply to schoolgirls in Ekiti State.

The First Lady also announced cash prizes of N200 million for the two best graduating students (one male and one female) of Ekiti State University after commissioning the TETFUND sponsored ICT Experience Center during her visit to the State.
