A former Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Science and Engineering Infrastructure Agency, NASENI and frontline ruler aspirant in Nasarawa State under the ruling APC, Professor Mohammad Sani Haruna, says he will govern the state with the fear of God if given the mandate.

He spoke yesterday in Keffi, Nasarawa West senatorial zone headquarters, during a mega rally attended by hundreds of youths, women and several political groups who support his gubernatorial ambition.

He told the giant crowd that he would purchase the nomination form and participate in the party’s gubernatorial primary scheduled for May 21, 2026.

He explained that he is contesting based on his visibility and achievements at NASENI, which is spread across Nasarawa State and other states in the country, and the only thing he can assure the people of the State is transparent administration and judicious use of resources if he is given the mandate.

“I will go ahead and purchase the nomination form and participate in the Governorship primaries, you can rest assured, what I can promise you is transparent administration and judicious use of your resources and maintenance of trust.

” I urge you to remain peaceful, be calm and obey the established authority. Learn to be your own brothers’ keepers. Fights, insults and all kinds of vices that have led to public disorder do not benefit anyone.

“It is in an environment of peace, tranquility and unity that one can thrive. The blessings that God Almighty has given to this state through our work at NASENI, other states in the nation have equally benefited from both physical and human capital development,” he said

He promised to build on the solid foundation laid by previous governors of the state, Abdullahi Adamu, the late Aliyu Akwe Doma, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and the outgoing governor, Eng. Abdullahi Sule.

“The manufacturing economy, industrialization and expansion of infrastructural development that are now happening under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule, in collaboration with non-partisan traditional rulers, have contributed immensely to the maintenance of peace, progress and stability of the State, which, if we have your mandate, we intend to continue with this, especially to ensure the ultimate utilization of the God-given resources of Nasarawa State.”

He explained that his administration will embrace all tribes and religions to create a stable environment to develop the state and take it to the next level.

He urged the people of the state to vote en masse for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, adding that the president played a key role in his career at NASENI even when he was not yet president.

“I cannot count my success at NASENI without acknowledging the role President Bola Ahmed Tinubu played in ensuring that when he was not president and we had snags, the then FIRS president refused to collect the NASENI industrial tax which is part of the statutory funds needed for development

“I went to Bola Ahmed Tinubu and he intervened and this was guaranteed immediately.”

He urged the people of the western zone and the entire state to turn out in large numbers and queue behind him on May 21, 2026 during the governorship primaries to enable him emerge as the APC state governorship candidate.
