Fraud P & ID: Lack of lawyer Kiosk Adoption of Written Address

The absence of prosecution and defenders on Tuesday stopped the planned adoption from the final written address in the criminal charges submitted to the Director in the Limited Industrial Process and Development (P&D), James Nolan.

This problem was then postponed until September 24 to adopt their written address.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) charged Nolan, a British citizen, because of the alleged involvement in the P&I $ 9.6 billion P&I scandal.

Nolan had told the court on January 16 that he would not call witnesses in the trial.

The defendant, who fled the country in September 2022, spoke through his lawyer, Michael Ajara.

The lawyer said that he would rely on the prosecutor’s evidence that had been presented in court and would not provide additional evidence.

After submitting a legal counsel, Judge Obiora Egwuatu has postponed this problem to adopt the final written address of the parties.

EFCC has a marked accusation: FHC/ABJ/CR/9/22 that was charged with Micad Project City Service, a subsidiary of P&D Limited, and Nolan for alleged fraud in May 2022.

However, the defendants claimed to be innocent for the accusation, and Nolan was returned to the Correctional Center of Kuje, Abuja.

After the British fulfilled the N100 million guarantee requirements and the guarantor in the same amount, he was given a guarantee.

He, however, stopped attending a court process and fled the country.

After escaping, he was declared sought by the court, and an order was issued for his arrest wherever he was found.
