Golden Eaglets draw with Ivory Coast and Niger in WAFU B Under-17 tournament

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will face Ivory Coast and Niger in Group B of the 2026 WAFU B Under-17 Championship.

The two best teams in the group will advance to the semifinals of the competition.

Hosts Burkina Faso will face Ghana, Benin Republic and Togo in Group A.

The tournament will serve as WAFU Zone B qualifying competition for the 2027 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

Participating teams will compete for available qualification spots to represent the area in the continental finals.

The Golden Eaglets are currently intensifying preparations for the tournament in Abuja.

Burkina Faso will host the competition from October 10 to 23, 2026.
