Gunmen kidnap Anambra commissioner and his wife

Gunmen have kidnapped the Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Aghamba, and his wife.

The attackers also shot dead the commissioner’s aide who was traveling with them.

The couple were on their way to Awka to attend the wedding of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s daughter scheduled for Saturday when they were attacked by hoodlums.

The Governor’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, confirmed the abduction of the commissioner on Friday in Awka.

But he did not say exactly where the couple was kidnapped.
