Gunmen kill members of vigilante group in Rivers

Gunmen on Wednesday killed a member of a local legal advocacy group, ONELGA Security Planning and Advisory Committee (OSPAC) in Rivers State.

Eyewitnesses told reporters on Thursday that the victim identified as Prince was responding to a call about a kidnapping case in Igwuruta community, Ikwerre local government area of ​​the state, when he was killed in an ambush attack.

State police spokesperson Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed the incident.

He said the command had initiated an investigation into the killing.
