Following his resounding victory in the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections, the former Director General of the Ekiti State Local Content Office, Hon. Olalekan Ijidale, has expressed his profound gratitude to the leadership, members and the entire voter of Gbonyin/Ayekire constituency for handing him the party’s flagship ahead of the general elections.
In a statement full of deep appreciation and forward-looking optimism, the Hon. Ijidale described his emergence as the APC candidate for Gbonyin/Ayekire constituency as a victory for collective dedication, unity and a shared vision for community development.
At the pinnacle of his appreciation is the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, who the candidate lauded as an exceptional leader, mentor and visionary man-builder. Hon Ijidale said serving under Governor Oyebanji as the pioneer Director General of the Bureau of Local Content was an invaluable masterclass in governance, adding that the governor not only gave him a great platform to serve the state, but actually gave him “wings to fly” politically and professionally.
