Ifo NFCA Leader Samba Commends Ogun State Executives For Successful Leadership Summit

The Leader of the Ifo Local Government Chapter of the Nigerian Football Coaches Association (NFCA), Kuforiji Olushola, popularly known as “Samba”, has expressed his gratitude and congratulations to the executives of the Ogun State association following the successful holding of the NFCA Ogun State Leadership Summit and Leadership Award ceremony.

The event, which took place on May 13, 2026 at Babcock University CIBN Banquet Hall, Ilisan Remo, brought together football coaches, stakeholders, administrators and awardees from across the state in a gathering focused on leadership, football development and professional growth within the coaching community.

In his remarks, Samba acknowledged the contributions and presence of the coaches and stakeholders who attended the summit, noting that their support and commitment reflected a shared passion for the advancement of football coaching in Ogun State and Nigeria at large.

He reserved special recognition for notable personalities who contributed to the success of the programme, including Coach Olaseinde Bankole, popularly known as “Zico”, Baba Adeshina, Akeem Busari (Flamingos Head Coach), Folorunso-Ako Oladimeji (Babcock University Professor), Coach Henry Eniola Oviavwe, Coach Oriade, all leaders along with several respected figures within the football community.

According to him, the event highlighted the importance of collaboration, visionary leadership and unity among coaches and administrators working for the growth of the game at grassroots and professional levels.

Samba also commended the Ogun State NFCA Executive Council, under the leadership of Coach Victor Damilola Agbagu, for organizing what he described as a smooth, impactful and motivating programme.

He noted that hosting such a quality summit required dedication, planning and strong leadership, adding that the successful outcome demonstrated the executives’ commitment to football development and capacity building within the coaching profession.

The Ifo chapter leader further expressed optimism that the summit would serve as a foundation for stronger collaboration, improved coaching standards and continued progress for the development of football in Ogun State and beyond.
