Imoke, Abdulfatah Ahmed will chair the principal ADC presidential committee

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has appointed the duo of former governors of Cross River and Kwara States, Liyel Imoke and Abdulfatah Ahmed, to head its principal presidential committee.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Bolaji Abdullahi, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.

Abdullahi said Imoke would head the Presidential Screening Committee and Ahmed the Presidential Screening Committee.

Other members of the Presidential Screening Committee are Alhaji Lawal Batagarawa, Prof Bode Ayorinde, Nnena Elendu-Ukeje, Prof David Salifu, and Colonel Abubakar Ciroma (rtd).

Another party leader, Cyril Maduabum, will serve as secretary.

The Presidential Election Committee has Prof. Yisa Gana as Secretary, with Maj. Gen. Adamu Jalingo (rtd), Dr. Auwalu Anwar, Chairman Emenike Ikechi, Dr. Macaulay Iyare, Tajudeen Bakare, and others.

The party also formed a Presidential Appeals Committee chaired by Dr. Suleiman Usman (SAN), with Mr Ken Imasuagbon as Secretary, while Mr Dare Okerade served as member.

For the gubernatorial primaries, the party set up two screening panels, with the first panel chaired by Shaibu Aruwa (SAN), while Femi Olawuyi served as Secretary.

Other members are Lauretta Onochie, Dr. Vivian Ugochukwu, Akilu Indabawa, Ibrahim Wali, and Prof. Rabiu Bello as panel member.

The second Governor’s Vetting Panel will be chaired by Mrs. Justina Abanida, with Chille Igbawua as Secretary and other appointed members.

Its members include Gerrard Irona, Senator Yisa Braimoh, Hassan Ibrahim, Joseph Enemali, and Navy Captain Aliyu Ngolmo (rtd).
