Bamidele, Fasuyi, Adaramodu emerge APC…

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded its senatorial primary elections in Ekiti State, with Opeyemi Bamidele, Cyril Fasuyi and Yemi Adaramodu emerging as candidates for Ekiti Central, Ekiti North and Ekiti South respectively ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Announcing the results in Ado Ekiti, the Chairman of the Primary Electoral Committee and Polling Officer, Asipa Wasiu Adedoyin, declared Bamidele the winner of the Ekiti Central senatorial primaries. The Senate leader, who contested unopposed, received 29,586 votes.

In Ekiti North, Fasuyi, the incumbent senator, won the ticket after polling 14,179 votes to defeat former senator Ayo Arise, who polled 4,868 votes, and Engr Bamisaye Oladipupo, who polled 3,694 votes in a hotly contested race.

For Ekiti South, Adaramodu achieved victory with 12,200 votes, defeating former Senator Biodun Olujimi, who polled 7,420 votes, and Hon. Bamidele Faparusi, who obtained 5,502 votes.

Adedoyin commended party members for the peaceful conduct of primaries in the three senatorial districts, stressing that the exercise was transparent and in line with party guidelines.
