Following the brutal murder of an Abuja-based transvestite popularly known as “Mama Area Abuja,” her senior colleague, James Brown, has come out to advise those in the business to stop doing ‘runs’ once they are popular.
James Brown who gave the advice in a post on his X account on Friday, implied that despite the deceased having achieved a certain level of popularity in FCT, she still hangs out on the streets at night, which could lead to her being killed by unknown persons.

“All Cross-Dressers in Nigeria, stay safe out there. What happened to Area Mama is so sad, she should cut down on her night shifts now that she is popular,” he wrote.
“I can’t bear to wear cross-dressing clothes in public and stand on the side of the road.
“I do it for Instagram content, movies, and at home, so it’s very risky to run as a popular drag queen,” she said.
