Kogi Monarch who was kidnapped regained freedom after 27 days in captivity

The traditional rulers of the Okoloe community who were kidnapped in the territory of the West Yagba regional government in the state of Kogi, Oba Dada Ogunyanda, had regained freedom 27 days after captivity.

Ogunyanda, who is Obalohun from the Okolole community, was kidnapped from his palace on May 15.

Chairman of Yagba West Lga, Mr. Tosin Oolokun, confirmed the news to journalists on Wednesday at Lokoja.

He said the traditional rulers since then rejected his family and received medical attention.
