I expect most of our best performances this season will come away from home. Clearly most teams will come to Anfield and play really deep, and it will be a slog to break them down.
The defence deserves a lot of credit for Wednesday night. New personal playing together in front of their new manager. Not much game time so far this season has to make you nervy and they played well?. Tsimikas always makes me nervous!. Can’t have 2 amazing players for each position though!.

Don't know how Neil watched that and thought Slot will be comfortable resting VVD now. I think quite the opposite.
Re: klopp and rotation, i think hed have been fine with more elite attacking talent, but the three of them had wages that precluded that.
I would much rather have Gomez as Trent cover than Bradley, the hype around Bradley is totally unjustified, his defensively poor and technically not that great and physically still needs to fill out, Bradley still has a lot to learn as does Quansah, they have potential not saying bin them, but lets not hype players up to such a level just because of a few good performances. Tsmikas technically is far better than Robertson but every other aspect he is very poor another player who has potential but considering how long he has been at LFC he is not showing the progress he should by now, but under Lignders abysmal coaching whilst Klopp was manager no surprise either lets see under Slot and his coaching staff coaching him if he shows progression on the areas he is weak at if not, then he can't be kept around just because the players like him. Ideally we need to bring in a player who is better than Robo so Robo can become the backup, if Tsmikas fails to show progression, Like to see way more of Morton though he looks like barring any serious injuries can become a top player.

I think West Ham was intended as a banana skin for us and then we go and do that to them with a second string side. At the final whistle, I had some fears that we'd get an even tougher draw and I was proven right. Brighton are strong this season and will take some beating.
I want Morton starting over Endo. Endo was a stop gap for last year, he was great for what he was, but the youngsters need game time more.

Endu showed why Arne is not selecting him, he caused WH goal and was awful especially in the 1st half.

I think connor bradley is so good it's hard to think how he's ever gunna get in at RB with trent still here and as young as he is. Would love arne to start training him on the left side, bradley and diaz/gakpo is a seriously tenacious combination
These guys always lose me when they start psychoanalysing the thought process of a manager or players lol.
the B team is alright ain't it
Thought Endo played well enough for a guy making his first start of the season. Got his foot in, kept in simple. Not as eye-catching as Gravenberch in that role, but he recycled the ball well enough and made it difficult for West Ham to play through.
Don't make the same mistake as Klopp with Atalanta. Don't underestimate Bolonga, go strong

It's early yet, but I'm tempted to say this is the best squad depth we've had in years. We moved on a bunch of youngsters and fringe players in the summer and ended up with a cup side with 8 changes of premier league starters. Brilliant. I feel like Slot has us moving in a direction that I'm so on board with. Gakpo incredible last night. Jones also needs much praise he was excellent. YNWA
