Mississippi Heat “Come To Mama”

“This calypso-tinged rumba reflects what I wanted the song to be: a celebratory tune. Some will recognize a musical pattern similar to Big Walter Horton’s La Cucaracha and/or other Latin songs. And I did this by design since I am naturally drawn to this genre of music. Come to Mama appears on Mississippi Heat’s CD WARNING SHOT (Delmark Records, DE839). Giles Corey and Sax Gordon handle the beautiful guitar and saxophone melodic lines. I end the song with an extended harmonica solo.
