The air component of Hadin Kai’s operation on Saturday killed several Boko Haram rebels during the raids in their pockets in the Mandara Mountains in Borno State.
Director of Public Relations and Information in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, revealed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
He said the strike was carried out after intelligence, supervision, and surveillance mission confirmed the existence of terrorist infrastructure in the area.
Ejodame said: “In a big blow to the rebel network in Northeast Nigeria, the Nigerian Air Force under the OPHK, launched a precision air strike on July 6, 2025 against the main terrorist fortress located in the Mandara Mountains, which is located in Borno.
“The high profile target, WA Jahode and Loghpere, has long functioned as pockets that are fortified for Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati Wal-Jihad Faction Boko Haram.
“The location, known for their rough and covered mountain terrain along the Nigerian border with Cameroon, recently witnessed an increase in terrorist activity, including reports on logistics buildup and the presence of Senior Jas Commander.

“In response, Naf Strike Aircraft executes a series of well -coordinated air prohibitions, targeting and destroying high -value terrorist infrastructure including logistics warehouses, command centers, and defensive shelters.
“Some terrorists are neutralized in operations, effectively disturbing their supply chain and reducing their ability to maintain further attacks.
