ADC rejects reports regarding Ireti Kingibe’s suspension

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Thursday rejected reports of the suspension of the senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the National Assembly, Ireti Kingibe.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the ADC was not aware of any decision to suspend the senator.

He said the party operates under clear constitutional provisions, and noted that disciplinary matters involving its members follow established procedures and are not handled through public announcements.

“As a law-abiding political party, ADC has clear constitutional channels to address allegations involving its members,” Abdullahi said.

He explained that there was an internal party mechanism to handle complaints.

According to him, any claims that Kingibe has been suspended do not come from the recognized leadership of the party or the party’s official decision-making organs.

“Therefore, we urge the public and the media to ignore reports stating that Senator Ireti Kingibe has been suspended by the party,” concluded the spokesperson.
