NELFUND beneficiaries donate ₦10.7 million for Tinubu’s 2027 interest form

Nigerian Education Loan Fund beneficiaries in Anambra State have backed President Bola Tinubu for a second term and donated ₦10.7 million towards the purchase of his 2027 expression of interest form.

The approval and donation were presented on Friday at the Igbariam campus of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students Campus Joint Council in Anambra State, Ifeanyichukwu Chukwuemeka, said the gesture was aimed at appreciating Tinubu’s educational reforms and youth-focused policies.

According to him, the students decided to support the President by recognizing the impact of the NELFUND program in easing financial pressure on students and improving access to tertiary education.

“We, the beneficiaries of the NELFUND programme, collectively support President Bola Tinubu for a second term,” he said.

“We are also donating the sum of ₦10,735,500 to support the purchase of the expression of interest form for him. This gesture is a symbolic expression of gratitude for the President’s bold education reforms and commitment to expanding access to tertiary education.”

The students also commended Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, for championing education and improving learning standards in the state.

They also commended businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, who serves as the South East Coordinator of the city’s youth movement, for his support for youth empowerment initiatives.

Other persons recognized at the event included the group’s state women leader, Adaora Soludo, and state coordinator, Nonso Ozoemena, for their contributions to youth mobilization and leadership development.

The event was attended by former Special Assistant to Governor Soludo on Student Affairs, Okoye Mathew, along with several Student Union Government Presidents.
