Nigerian Under-20 winger Suleiman Sani has been medically cleared to debut for German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in their final match of the season, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Sani suffered a knock in his first week of training with the German team following his record transfer in January from Slovak side AS Trenčín.
The knock delayed his debut for the team, where he is seen as the obvious replacement for sought-after winger Yan Diomande, who is expected to leave the club in the summer transfer window.
However, after returning from Austria, where he underwent a special physical session to improve his body’s strength and balance, he is now back training in the hope of making his debut next weekend.
RB Leipzig are already certain of finishing third and also of a place in the UEFA Champions League, and will probably take advantage of the match against Freiburg to make their debut, taking into account that it is a dead game.
