The chapter of the Zamfara of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), invited the interested parties of health in the state to increase the awareness of the public against the infants to face the hesitation of the vaccine and the disinformation on vaccination.
The state NMA, president, dr. Ibrahim Hano, made the call on Saturday in Gusau while talking to the scientific conference and the normal general meeting of the association.
Freedomonline reports that the theme of the conference is: “healthy beginning, future hope”, an infordemic as a driver for the hesitation of the vaccine: the effects and the way out “.
By presenting a document on the theme, Hano said that the topic was widely chosen considering the effects of the entire vaccine against polio and other related vaccinations
He said that in Nigeria the hesitation was increasing above all with the introduction of new vaccines since the beginning of Covid-19.
Hano said: “You know a healthy beginning of a human being must start with a cycle of a healthy child, because healthy children produce healthy adults, even healthy adults produce healthy children.
“Let’s start with vaccination because when children are well vaccinated and protected from killers for children, it will make them healthier to start with a healthy start of their lives.”
He said that social media were becoming stronger in society, just like people awareness of the internet access was stronger.
βWe believed that it was very necessary for us to be aware of the question of infordemic and its effects on the issue of vaccination.
βWe deemed it necessary to sensitize doctors to learn more and how to overcome it.
“I think the government and partners should increase the lighting and training of health care providers to find out more about the whole,” explained the president of the NMA.
Even speaking, the vice -president of the state of the NMA, dr. Muhammed Salahudeen, said that the topic was rightly chosen for Zamfara, especially on policylitis and not polio issues.
Salahudeen said that one of the main issues relating to Zamfara vaccination was non -compliance and bad information management.
He added: “This is timely, I believe that the NMA in collaboration with other partners is gathering to raise awareness of the public on the importance of vaccination against polio”.
Speaking previously, the president of the occasion and the medical director, Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital Gusau, dr. Aminu Nahuche, he praised the NMA for having always chosen Tje Right topics for the presentation of the development of the health system.
He ensured continuous support for NMA to continue collaborating with other interested parties to promote the health system in the state.
