The Center of Enyimba, Affolayan Peters, will be available for the National Team when the leaders of the Popular Elephant League remote the stars in Ikenne on Thursday, reports Complecesports.com.
Peters, who joined the NPFL champions of the Heartland oriental rivals during the January transfer window, returns to the Eyimba day after fulfilling a mandatory suspension of a match after his expulsion of the red card in the confrontation of day 27 against the Niger tornadoes.
With the 2024/2025 NPFL season entering its final stage, Peters turns on to help Enyimba to press for a final among the top three, which would assure them a continental football place next season.
Enyimba recently launched points at home against Bayelsa United in ABA, but the former Heartland FC captain believes that they can still close the gap for league leaders.
“Our game against Remo Stars on Thursday is very crucial,” said the solid rock defender. “We are going to do our best to make sure to ensure the three points.”
Remall stars remain undefeated at home this season, but Peters understands the intensity of the race by the title and emphasizes the importance of unity, discipline and execution of tactical instructions.

“If we work collectively and play the instructions, we can achieve our goal, no doubt about that,” he said.
Reflecting on his 1-1 draw against Bayelsa United Day 30, Peters admitted that it was not the result they wanted, but insisted that the team had corrected their mistakes and changed focus to the remoding crash of Stars.
“Each game is an opportunity to approach our goal. The raffle against Bayelsa United was not what we wanted, but we have corrected our mistakes and we are working hard to get a positive result in Ikenne,” he said.
The defender born in Ajegunle, born in Lagos, has built a career in resilience and ambition. He keeps sure that Enyimba can claim his place on the continental stage if they maintain their winning impulse in the remaining accessories.
“If we keep winning, we will return to the continent because the gap is not too much. Let’s continue winning,” he added.
Both parties have gathered 13 times since 2016, with four victories each and five games that end in draws.
The rowing stars currently lead the table with 57 points, while enyimba feels eighth with 43 points.
