NRC recovered the locomotive, the coach after the Abuja-Kaduna route accident

Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has found a locomotive and coach from the train location that slipped on Tuesday.

At least six passengers suffered injuries after the morning train serving the corridor slipped and reversed some of his coaches.

NRC Director, Dr. Kayode Opeifa, revealed this in a statement issued on Thursday at Lagos.

Opeifa said she visited an accident site on Wednesday to personally oversee recovery operations with NRC engineers.

He said: “During training, the recovery team managed to take one of the passenger coaches who slipped, besides the locomotive who previously recovered that day.”

The NRC head praised the engineers of their professionalism, resilience, and responses that were fast in managing the situation.

He also thanked the security agent who was deployed to the site to ensure that the recovery process was carried out smoothly, safely, and without interruption.

“NRC convinces its honorable and public passengers that all the necessary actions are taken to restore train operations in the shortest possible time.

“Safety security and passenger services remain the company’s top priority,” Opeifa added.
