Nwifuru to Wike: I will consume you, I will destroy you

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has threatened to deal with FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
As for the governor of the south-eastern state, he has a formidable political machinery to take on Wike and his loyalists in their desperate bid to take over the state in 2027.

Nwifuru was reacting to claims by Wike loyalists that President Bola Tinubu would hand over political control of Ebonyi State to the minister’s faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Nwifuru is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party.
He spoke at a stakeholders rally in Abakaliki, the state capital, threatening: “We have everything it takes to consume and destroy you.
“Some people are going around and saying that they had discussions with President Tinubu and that the President gave Ebonyi to the PDP.

“They said Nyesom Wike is their leader and that Wike said the president gave him Ebonyi. And we tell them: ‘eeyaah’!
The governor vowed to thwart the move and threatened to deal with Wike or anyone involved in the alleged plot, stressing that Ebonyi is not for sale.
“Now, as your governor, I want to tell you this: we are not afraid, we resist only because our people are with us.
“No one should push us because we have everything it takes to consume anyone who is trying; we have everything it takes to destroy anyone who is trying,” he said, apparently referring to Wike and his allies.
“We are sending the message to them, directly or indirectly, that we are members of the All Progressives Congress and that is where the Ebonyi people belong.
“And whoever is testing our resolve, the outcome will be a lot of fun for them.”
