Today, we celebrate an extraordinary man whose life journey reflects resilience, excellence, compassion and unusual vision – Ambassador (Dr.) Babatunde Adeyemo, veteran broadcast journalist, seasoned real estate professional, philanthropist and dynamic CEO of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, on the occasion of his 47th birthday.
At 47 years old, Ambassador Adeyemo stands as a shining example of what purpose, integrity and determination can achieve. From the editorial team to the board of directors, its story has remained one of transformation, impact and unwavering commitment to humanity.
Born Babatunde Muritala Adeyemo, he initially distinguished himself in the media industry as a seasoned broadcast journalist whose professionalism, calm disposition and passion for truth earned him admiration and respect. Today he is widely celebrated as the visionary force behind some of Ogun State’s most notable real estate developments: Pelican Valley Estate Laderin, Pelican Brief Estate, Pelican Ecostay Apartments, Pelican Greenish Acres Farm Estate and Pelican Stream-View Estate, all strategically located along Ogun State’s fast-growing Kobape-Masa corridor.
Through these landmark projects, Ambassador Adeyemo has not only built real estate; it has built dreams, restored hope, created job opportunities and contributed immensely to bridging Nigeria’s housing deficit. It was therefore no surprise that the Ogun State Ministry of Urban and Physical Planning awarded Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited and its CEO in recognition of their consistent adherence to approved planning standards, promotion of sustainable real estate development and support for World Habitat Day celebrations in the state. The honor further reaffirmed his growing reputation as a responsible developer and patriotic nation builder.

Ambassador Adeyemo is a philanthropist of extraordinary compassion. Through the Oko Opo Widows Foundation, she has continued to touch lives across religious, ethnic and social divides. In the last three years alone, hundreds of widows, children and vulnerable members of society have benefited from free medical awareness programmes, food support, cash assistance, scholarships and monthly stipends sponsored by the foundation.
Particularly inspiring is his unwavering support for the widows and children of deceased journalists in Ogun State, a cause that reflects both gratitude for his professional roots and empathy for struggling families. Through scholarships up to university level, medical support and welfare interventions, he has become a beacon of hope for many who had almost lost faith in society.
