Striker Victor Osimhen is doubtful for Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifying games due to the injury he sustained against Saudi Arabia.
Osimhen limped off during the game and was diagnosed with a medium-grade lesion of the biceps femoris in his right thigh after arriving his club.
He has since commence treatment and he’s expected to be sidelined between four to six weeks, which means he could miss Nigeria’s World Cup qualifiers openers against Lesotho’s Crocodiles and Zimbabwe .
The Super Eagles will host Lesotho on November 17th, and Zimbabwe four days later in Harare.
On top of that, Osimhen will at least four Napoli games, starting with weekend’s game against Hellas Verona in Serie A, a Champions League tie with Union Berlin, and against Milan the following weekend.
