Otto Addo appointed member of the FIFA 2026 Technical Study Group

Otto Addo has been selected as a member of the Technical Study Group (TSG) for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Addo, who was recently sacked from his role as Ghana head coach, previously led the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Under his leadership, Ghana achieved a victory in the group stage against South Korea, but failed to advance past the first round.

He orchestrated Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup before being relieved of his duties earlier this year.

The Technical Study Group is an initiative developed under the direction of Arsène Wenger and operationally led by Pascal Zuberbühler.

The group brings together former players and coaches to provide in-depth technical analysis throughout the tournament.

TSG 2026 members include Tobin Heath, Jürgen Klinsmann, Jayne Ludlow, Michael O’Neill and Gilberto Silva.

The TSG will analyze all 104 matches of the tournament, working from both stadium locations and a dedicated performance analysis room in Miami.

Your work will focus on providing real-time tactical and technical information on the entire competition.

Arsène Wenger emphasized the importance of advanced data in modern football, noting that the group will use high-level performance analysis to better interpret the action on the field for both experts and global audiences.

During the tournament, FIFA will introduce its most advanced performance data system to date, providing improved metrics and information to broadcasters, teams and fans around the world.

The FIFA Training Center will serve as a hub for the work of the GET, acting as a central platform to share knowledge with players, coaches and fans around the world.

For the first time at a FIFA World Cup, selected real-time analysis from the GET will also be shared directly with fans via the FIFA Training Center social media platforms and the official YouTube channel.
