PFN honors Adeboye and unveils a new vision of leadership

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Ogun State chapter, has honored the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, with a prestigious award in recognition of his immense contribution to the growth of the fellowship and the development of its secretariat.

The honor was conferred at a well-attended ceremony held at the recently completed Pastor EA Adeboye Legacy Hall, named after the revered cleric in recognition of his pivotal role in building the PFN Secretariat.

Adeboye, who was unavoidably absent due to overseas commitments, was represented at the event by the national overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Sunday Akande, who received the award on his behalf.

Akande commended the Ogun PFN leadership for the recognition, describing it as well-deserved, while stressing that Adeboye remained committed to the unity and progress of the Christian body.

The event also featured tributes to other notable people, including popular TV host, Rev. Tolulope Taiwo, also known as Pastor T, who received the Award for Excellence in Media and Communication for his contribution to the association’s activities.

In his remarks, the outgoing President of PFN in Ogun State, Apostle David AB Otaru, described his eight-year tenure as highly impactful and successful, attributing his achievements to divine grace and collective commitment.

He expressed confidence in the incoming administration, led by Rev. (Dr.) Kunle Abdul, saying the scholarship is poised for more progress under the new leadership.

“The past eight years have been marked by unity, growth and remarkable support from our fathers in the faith. I am confident that the next administration will surpass these achievements,” Otaru said.

Unveiling his vision, the new president pledged to strengthen unity among members, promote sound moral teachings, and address pressing social challenges facing the church and society.

He also outlined plans to improve the scholarship’s infrastructure, stressing that further development of facilities will be carried out in phases to accommodate expanding programmes.

“Our goal will be to deepen love, promote practical Christian living and ensure that brotherhood remains a beacon of hope in difficult times,” Abdul said.

The ceremony attracted clerics, stakeholders and members from across the State and concluded with prayers for sustained unity, growth and spiritual advancement within the brotherhood.
