PR Primus appoints Odunlami, George and Suleiman to strengthen public relations standards

PR Primus Limited, a public relations consultancy and promoter of Your Image PR program on Ogun State Television, has appointed three eminent academics and practitioners to its administrative team as part of efforts to strengthen public relations scholarship and professional practice in Nigeria.

The newly appointed trustees are Prof. Dele Odunlami, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye; legal professional and public relations expert, lawyer Karibi George; and Dr. Joshua Suleiman of Babcock University.

The appointments were announced by the Chief Executive Officer of PR Primus Limited and Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Akin Okudero, in a statement made available on Saturday.

According to Okudero, the appointments are designed to advance public relations education, promote ethical standards and position the organization for greater professional impact.

Odunlami, described as the first professor of mass communication with a specialization in broadcast journalism, is currently the dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Olabisi Onabanjo University.

George is a legal advisor, mediator and communications solutions professional. He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and a former president of the Rivers State chapter of the institute.

Suleiman, a professor in the Department of Mass Communication at Babcock University, was described as a distinguished scholar and professional with expertise in public relations, media and marketing communications.

Okudero said the new administrators will work alongside existing members of the management team, including Dare Folarin, to promote academic engagement and international best practices in public relations.

He added that the appointments will also encourage greater participation of young people in the profession, while promoting ethical values ​​and supporting national development.

“The new administrators are expected to stimulate academic discourse, uphold international standards and embrace youth participation in promoting public relations values, ethical practices and the evolution of the profession for sustainable national development and national unity,” he said.

PR Primus Limited publishes PR Primus Magazine, operates an online public relations news platform and produces the Your Image PR television program broadcast on Ogun State Television.
