PSG Reach Club W’CUP last 16 as Atletico came out despite winning over Botafogo

Paris Saint Germain has met the requirements for the 16th round of the FIFA Club World Cup after defeating Seattle Sounders 2-0 in their last group match on Monday night.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the score for the French champion before Achraf Hakimi finished a good goal. The second half to ensure victory.

In another group B match between Atletico Madrid and Botafogo, the Spanish team needs a victory with three or more goals but can only score once.

Therefore apart from their 1-0 victory, Atletico was eliminated from the competition, leaving Botafogo to advance as a team in second place in the group while PSG finished above.

Like standing, PSG and Botafogo joined Man City, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Flamengo in the last 16. Still 10 places left to decide.
