RB Leipzig signed the Nigerian U-20 winger as a replacement for the highly sought-after Diomande

RB Leipzig have already chosen a replacement in Yan Diomande, who is linked with a summer move to Liverpool after his explosive season, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The Ivory Coast international has scored 11 goals and assisted seven times in just 27 appearances in all competitions this season. Leipzig is said to value Diomande at approximately $116.5 million.

Liverpool’s hierarchy are reportedly willing to make an early move for the 19-year-old in a bid to beat their rivals to his signature. The report claims that the Reds are discussing the possibility of making a push to sign Diomande this summer, although the move is not dependent on Mohamed Salah’s future.

For its part, Leipzig has already signed his replacement, Sani Suleiman, who arrived in the summer from AS Trenčín in Slovakia for a club record fee.

Suleiman suffered a setback in training that delayed his potential debut, but he is now back in training and is expected to make his debut before the end of the season.

In the summer he is expected to be fully integrated into the team’s pre-season training, and will begin the season fighting for a place in the team’s starting eleven for next season.
