Fresh revelations emerge following the abduction of teachers and students during attacks on schools and surrounding communities in Oriire Local Government Area of ​​Oyo State.

A 2-year-old toddler, Christianah Akanbi, from Yawota Baptist Kindergarten and Primary School was said to be among those abducted by the terrorists.

According to community leaders, a total of 46 people – seven teachers and 39 students – were abducted from Ahoro-Esinele Community Secondary School and Yawota Baptist Kindergarten and Primary School.

Four motorbikes were also reportedly confiscated from villagers, three from the Yawota community and one from a high school.

The incident has left the affected communities on edge, and parents and residents are increasingly expressing concern over the safety of the abductees.

The families of the victims were said to be awaiting updates from security agencies as efforts continue to secure the release of those kidnapped and restore calm in the area.
