Senate Committee Reviews LTMI Operations

Paynesville, Monrovia, June 17, 2026—The Liberian Senate Joint Committee on Ways, Means, Finance and Budget, Concessions and Investment, and Judiciary conducted a day-long assessment tour of the Liberia Traffic Management Incorporated (LTMI) facility on Wednesday.

The visit aimed to evaluate LTMI’s operational capacity and the services it provides to the Government of Liberia following recent public concerns.

The delegation, led by Joint Committee Chairman Senator Prince K. Moye and accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Transport and the National Bureau of Concessions, visited several sections of the LTMI facility.

LTMI representatives gave presentations on the company’s technological infrastructure, operational systems, vehicle registration, driver’s licensing, traffic monitoring, and other transportation services.

Following the tour, Senator Moye commented on the organization, infrastructure, and technology at the LTMI facility. He said the committee would continue to work with relevant government institutions to address any issues identified within the concession.

Senator Moye said the visit provided Senators with firsthand information needed to make informed decisions regarding the company’s engagement with the government.

“We came here to independently assess the capacity of LTMI. The visit demonstrated significant investment in technology and infrastructure,” Moye said.

He said the Joint Committee will continue its review before making recommendations to the plenary of the Liberian Senate.

The LTMI-Government of Liberia agreement is a 25-year concession signed in September 2018 and ratified in December 2018 to finance, design, build, operate, maintain, and transfer an integrated vehicle and traffic management system in Liberia.
