Melville United suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to East Coast Bays in their final New Zealand National League match despite a competitive performance from the home team.
The Melville coaching staff adjusted their starting eleven with Sham Sataiya Chetty, who made his debut among the new names on the team, in a closely contested match.
Chetty quickly adapted to the pace of the game and was key in keeping the Melville defense at bay for much of the game, especially in the closing stages of the game.
However, East Coast Bays secured all three points but Melville left the game with their heads held high and will look to carry the momentum into their next games.
The result leaves Melville United focused on regrouping ahead of their next National League outing as the team continues to gain momentum throughout the season.
