Suspected bandits kidnapped the king and his wife in Kwara

Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Saturday kidnapped the traditional ruler of Olayinka community in Ifelodun local government area of ​​Kwara State, Oba Salman Aweda.

The thugs also left with the king’s wife, and a resident during the midnight attack on the community.

Residents told reporters that the attackers stormed the palace at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, shooting sporadically to scare residents before taking the victims to an unknown location.

Chairman of Ifelodun LGA, Abdulrasheed Yusuf confirmed the incident.

He said efforts were continuing to rescue the victims.
