The arrest of the police is suspected of lakurawa bandit in Sokoto

The police operative has arrested the alleged Bandit Lakurawa and found an AK-49 rifle with ammunition in the Sokoto state.

Commissioner of State Police, Tn. Ahmed Musa, revealed this in a statement issued on Thursday by a spokesman for the State Police Command, Ahmad Rufai.

He said the operations of the anti-classical command unit were acting decisively on credible intelligence and captured a Buba Magaji from Julirkol Village in the Silame region in the state on Sunday.

CP said: “Its arrest is based on specific tip-offs that identify it as a close colleague from the Lakurawa Bandit syndicate, a group that is famous for terrorizing people in several regional government areas in the state.

“During the investigation, Magaji claimed to be involved in various criminal activities related to the syndicate.

“He also revealed the location where he hid AK-49 rifles in the bushes along the Silame axis.

“Following his leadership, police operations on Wednesday conducted a careful search in the area and found AK-49 rifles, magazines, and 22 rounds of life ammunition.”

Moses described the arrest and restoration of weapons as a significant breakthrough in continuous efforts to get rid of the state of criminal elements.
