Judge Emeka Nwite from the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Thursday, gave the Green Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) to capture and detain six Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX) promoters for alleged investment fraud of more than $ 1 billion.
The judge gave an order after EFCC’s lawyer, Fadila Yusuf, moved the former party for the arrest of the CBEX promoter.
He said: “I have listened to the submission of student advisers for the applicant (EFCC).
“I have also gone through proof of written statement with the exhibition, together with a written address.
“I see and I argue that this application is meritorious.
“As a result, this application is given as prayed for.”
The six suspects are – Adefowora Abiodun Olanipekun, Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, and Seyi Oloyede.

Others are Avwerosuo Autorudo and Chukwuebuka Ehirim.
In the movement of the former party submitted on Thursday by Joseph, the commission looked for two prayers.
He sought an order to issue an arrest warrant for the defendants.
EFCC also prayed to the court for orders that handed over the defendants in detention while waiting for conclusions from the investigation of alleged violations and the possibility of prosecution.
In his presentation, the lawyer said EFCC had legal obligations to prevent and detect financial crime through investigation.
He said there was intelligence at the EFCC chairman’s office against the defendant for various criminal violations.
He argues that the commission has a constitutional duty to investigate crime and uphold law and order.
