More than 30 people have been arrested in Israel because of the “order disruption” when the hostage family held in Gaza increases their campaign with national strikes.
The protesters demanded that the Israeli government make an agreement to secure the release of the hostages held by militants in Gaza.
The campaign increased on Sundays, with demonstrators to do a “stopping day” that blocks traffic and closing the business.
The protesters gathered in dozens of points throughout Israel, including outside politician homes, military headquarters and on the main highway, where they were sprayed with water cannons as they blocked the path and light a bonfire that was robed in smoke.
The police said they had arrested 32 people as part of a national demonstration – one of the most fierce since more than six hostages was found dead in Gaza last September.
This action appeared a few weeks after the militant group released a video of hostages and Israel signaling plans for new Gaza attacks.
The demonstrators of the fear of further battles can endanger the 50 hostages which are believed to remain in Gaza, only about 20 of them are considered alive.
The demonstrators shouted: “We did not win the war over the hostage body.”
“Military pressure does not bring hostages back – it only kills them,” said former Jehoud Arbel Hostage at a demonstration at Tel Aviv’s hostage field.
“The only way to bring them back is through an agreement, at the same time, without a game.”
Anat Angrest, the mother of Hare Matan Angrest, added: “Today, we stop everything from saving and bringing back hostages and soldiers.
“Today, we stop everything to remember the highest value of the sanctity of life.
“Today, we stop everything from joining hands – right, left, middle, and all of them.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has demanded the release of immediately hostages but was haunted by the potential for rebellion in the coalition.
The right -wing member of his cabinet insisted that they would not support any agreement that allowed Hamas to maintain power. The last time Israel agreed to the ceasefire that released hostages, they threatened to bring down the Netanyahu government.
Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich plays a termination of “bad and dangerous campaigns that play a role in the hands of Hamas, bury hostages in tunnels and efforts to make Israel surrender to their enemies and endanger their security and future”.
