The Super Eagles drop in the FIFA rankings

Currently without a coach following the resignation of Finidi George and struggling in the World Cup qualifiers, the Super Eagles now find themselves in 39th position, down from 38th in the previous rankings.

Other African teams have also suffered relegations due to lack of action. Morocco dropped two places to 14th, Senegal dropped one place to 19th and Ivory Coast dropped one place to 38th.

In Europe, Spain has moved from fifth to third place in the world after its impressive performance at the European Championship.

The top ten teams in the world are now Argentina, France, Spain, England, Brazil, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Colombia and Portugal.

Meanwhile, the top ten teams in Africa are Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Tunisia, Algeria, Cameroon, Mali and South Africa.
