The Super Falcons rise to 36th place and maintain first place in Africa in the FIFA rankings

The Nigerian women’s national football team has moved up one place in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking, maintaining its position as the highest-ranked team in Africa.

According to the ranking, published on Tuesday, Nigeria moves from 37th to 36th place in the world, reinforcing its dominance on the continent.

The Super Falcons will now turn their attention to the upcoming African Women’s Cup of Nations in Morocco, where they will look to extend their record with their 11th continental title.

At the top of the world rankings, powers such as Spain, the United States, England, Germany and Japan occupy the top positions, along with Brazil, France, Sweden, Canada and the Netherlands.

On the African scene, Nigeria remains firmly in first place, ahead of South Africa, which is ranked 58th, and Ghana, which is ranked 59th in the latest rankings.

Morocco, Zambia, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Algeria, Senegal and Mali complete the top 10 ranked women’s national teams on the continent.
