Tinubu runs Nigeria like the Whatsapp Private Group – Lauretta Onochie

The former media aide for former Muhammadu Buhari President Lauretta Onochie, has summoned the President of Bola Tinubu, saying he runs Nigeria as a private WhatsApp group after the President’s failure to appoint a replacement for the country’s ambassador two years after taking over his position.

In a post that he shared in his X -was grip on Thursday, Onochie, who was one of the most vocal supporters of Buhari for eight years as president, said Tinubu’s mission as president was only for the benefits of his cronies.

He noted that since firing the country’s messengers in September 2023, Tinubu had failed to appoint their replacement which had made Nigerian foreign missions remained without substantive heads.

He stated that this had led to concerns over the diplomatic presence of the country on the global stage because the ambassador was very important to represent national interests and maintain diplomatic relations in the host countries.

Furthermore, Onochie accused that the president would rather focus on countries like St. Lucia and Kazakhstan “where she can be idolized and worshiped at the right price.”

“A strategic expert who does not know that Nigeria needs an ambassador to connect with the whole world to run Nigeria like the Whatsapp Personal Group,” he wrote.
