Troops rescue another kidnapped NYSC member

Troops of the 2nd Battalion, Kaduna, have rescued another member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) kidnapped by bandits in Zamfara State.

Thugs in August last year kidnapped eight corps recruits who were heading to Akwa Ibom State in Gusau.

Six corps members later regained their freedom.

The latest developments bring the number of victims rescued by troops to seven people.

Director of Army Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, confirmed the development to journalists in Abuja.

He said efforts to rescue the remaining corps members were underway.
